What are
crowded teeth?

Crowded teeth, also known as dental crowding or tooth crowding, refer to a condition where there is insufficient space in the jaw for all of the teeth to fit properly. This lack of space can cause the teeth to overlap, twist, or tilt in various directions, leading to a crowded appearance.

Why correct crowded teeth?

It's often difficult or impossible to practice good oral hygiene if the teeth are overlapping. It's also not aesthetically ideal to have crowded teeth, leading many people to feel self-conscious about laughing or smiling.

Impaired oral hygiene increases risk of cavities, gingivitis and periodontitis
Asymmetric wear and tear on teeth
Unharmonious smile

Crowded teeth can occur for several reasons, including:

Genetics
Genetics largely determine jawbone and teeth size and shape. Small jaws or large teeth can lead to crowding due to lack of sufficient space for proper eruption.
Early loss of primary (baby) teeth
Prematurely lost primary teeth can cause nearby teeth to shift and disrupt the natural eruption pattern of permanent teeth, contributing to crowding.

How Aligners correct crowded teeth

In most cases, crowded teeth can be corrected with removable braces. How it works:
